Loveday Falmouth Organic Spiced Rum 50cl

Loveday is the work of old friends more than a little bit obsessed with flavour and with two decades of culinary & design experience, on an eternal search for beautiful, vibrant new things to sip on.

It’s been slowly brought to life since 2020 over lockdowns, babies, coffee, sea swims and G&Ts in lovely Penryn, south Cornwall.

Stumped by a barrage of sickly, harsh flavour profiles, and tired of fussy, samey branding that seems preoccupied with telling women ‘It’s gin o’clock!’ and ‘Put that rum down- it’s only for us sailory blokes!’, they wanted to find a new way: where craftsmanship, modern design, and carefully balanced, utterly delicious distillations come together.

They make sustainable spirits using fresh and foraged ingredients with enjoyment in mind - unhurried get-togethers with favourite company and a glass of something darn good in hand is how they love to serve Loveday.

A note on Sustainability:

Labels are plastic-free and are printed with water-based inks

Use FSC - certified wood and natural cork stoppers

Bottles are sealed with home-compostable tamper-proof seals made of seaweed

Rums are Soil-Association certified organic, one of only two distilleries in the UK to achieve this, will be transitioning the gin to organic in 2024

Designed and moved to using a bottle that is 28% lighter to the one we started with. Less raw materials, and less emissions transporting them to you

100% recyclable packaging including innovative, and just darn beautiful Flexi-hex postal packaging and recycled cardboard mailer boxes

Deliveries within the South West are carried out by Hoffman Haulage- a brilliant carbon neutral courier company - in their electric vans

What’s left after distilling the organic molasses wash into rum (‘dunder’), is fed to some very happy local pigs

Similarly, what’s left after distilling the gins goes to a local company who turn it into compost

Organic, oak-rested rum, infused with a handful of carefully selected botanicals including figs that we smoke over oak at the distillery, orange peel and ginger. Beautifully aromatic, with a rounded, subtle sweetness.
