Grenache is responsible for some of the most delicious and expensive wine in the world. From exalted regions like Châteauneuf-du-Pape to cult California wines, Grenache is just as important in the wine world as Cabernet Sauvignon.

A light bright red colour with rich and lively red fruit, violets and warm spices on the nose. On the palate it is concentrated with a lovely freshness and a smooth long and lingering finish.

The Juno Wine Company - based in the town of Paarl in the heart of South Africa’s winelands - was born of a marriage between wine and art. Since the founding of the winery Tertia du Toit’s unique and alluring Cape Maidens labels have attracted great consumer interest and attention. Now the Cape Maidens series are replaced by another tribute to Juno, Roman queen of the gods, divine protectress and symbol of eternal youth with intricate labels echoing Italian antiquity.

Juno celebrates wine, women and the creative pursuits that both have inspired throughout history. She is one part fierce, one part compassion. She wears a goat’s skin to symbolise her combatant force, while her chariot is drawn by peacocks who safeguard her. A salute to the Italian influence on South African food, wine and lifestyle, Juno is reminiscent of the vino of Italia. Magnifico! Juno wines are produced under the Fairtrade system which is in keeping with the ethos of the company.
