Tipley Hill Don't Feed The Ponies 2021 Sandridge Barton
The ‘Don’t Feed The Ponies’ range consists of a small-batch of experimental wines where we try alternative methods to get unique characters out of the Dart Valley grown grapes.
It is a low intervention range, where the winemaker monitors the ferments rather than manipulate them. The name came from a poster the head winemaker’s daughter designed at school for the campaign to stop feeding the wild ponies on Dartmoor.
Each wine is named after one of Dartmoor’s many Tors. We donate 25p per bottle to the DPA (Dartmoor Preservation Association) to give back to the amazing national park. To ensure the best and most sustainable future for the moorland where the River Dart sources, before ultimately influencing the climate in the vineyard.
A more full-bodied style with lemon rind, elderflower, toasted pine and yoghurt aromas. The palate is rounded and full with soft oak tannin, more rich yellow fruits and a touch of oak spice.
