Cantina Toblino Nosiola 2022

Cantina Toblino is situated in the Valle dei Laghi in Trentino Alto Adige surrounded by a lake and mountains, sitting between 250-800 metres altitude. Toblino is a cooperative with 600+ members and over 900 hectares of vines, with a very strong sustainability and organic-focused record and widely considered to be the most highly regarded vineyard in the region. The winery impressively combines traditional methods with the latest technology; high tech presses, conical foudres, horizontal stainless-steel tanks and locally made clay jars to age the wine. Over half the vines are certified organic, and vine health is helped by the tempering winds that come via the valley through Lake Garda. Chardonnay flourishes here, along with Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, and the native Nosiola and Lagrein.

Nosiola is the only native white grape variety in Trentino, used to produce dry white wines. The grapes grow among the best exposed vineyards of the Valle dei Laghi in the surroundings of Castel Toblino. The unique composition of the soils, dry and rich in gravel, together with the incessant presence of a gentle wind, called "Ora del Garda", contribute to giving these grapes unique and inimitable characteristics.

Nosiola has a delicate fruity aroma with a soft hint of freshly picked hazelnuts. Dry and pleasantly fresh on the palate, with a slight aromatic note.
