Canancombe
Calancombe Estate Bacchus
The Caloncombe story began in 2012 when Caroline and Lance Whitehead bought the Calancombe Estate in South Devon, located between Dartmoor and the coast and with origins that can be traced back to the 16th century. Blessed with a unique microclimate, south-facing slopes and free draining soil, the Estate is ideally suited for award-winning Devon wine production.
This elegant wine is made from 100% Bacchus (often referred to as the Sauvignon Blanc of England). It has gentle aromas of grapefruit, gooseberry and a touch of tropical fruit and on the palate is clean and crisp with a touch of peach, gooseberry and citrus. Perfect as an aperitif or with fish, chicken or even spicy food.
