Botas de Barro Toro Tinta de Toro

One of the oldest wine regions in Spain, Toro is today known as one of the most premium regions for the production of great red wines. Thanks to its extreme temperatures and dry climate, here the varietal Tempranillo, known locally as Tinta de Toro, produces full bodied wines with great aromatic complexity and an incredibly intense colour. Some of the oldest vineyards in the world (140 years and older) can be found in this region thanks to its sandy soils that protected the area from the devastating phylloxera plague at the end of the 19^th Century. These are also some of the lowest yielding vines in the world!!

Intense red cherry colour with very marked violet edging. In the nose the wine is intense and very expressive. Black fruits with notes of violets and liquorice. On the palate, it is intense and alive, true to its area. Good tannic structure that will help you perfectly accompany to red meat and high-cured cheeses. The influence of its slight passage through the wood leaves the end of the mouth, very subtle.
